Elizabeth Damico is a gifted preacher and musician who serves as Pastor of Memorial Lutheran Church in Afton, MN. She comes to the Twin Cities after serving as Pastor at Holden Village in Washington state. Elizabeth is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and of Luther Seminary in St. Paul.
Tawny Homesley is Minister of Music and Worship at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN, where she has worked since 2007. She is currently serving on the Board for the Twin Cities Chapter of Chorister’s Guild. Tawny has a passion for working with children and adults in a variety of musical styles, and encouraging faith formation through the medium of music. She holds a Master of Sacred Music (MSM) degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music and Family Ministry from Lenoir-Rhyne University (ELCA) in Hickory, NC. Tawny lives in South Minneapolis with her husband, Nick, her son James, and their three dogs. She also loves to dance, bird hunt, fish, listen to music, travel, go to Twins games, and spend time with friends and family. Her most loved Bible passage is Ephesians 2:8 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God – not the result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Dirk Lange’s ministerial experience has covered a wide spectrum of activities, but all under one umbrella: liturgy in the lives of people. He is currently Associate Professor of Worship at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN and has written extensively on the topic of liturgical theology including Trauma Recalled: Liturgy, Disruption, Theology (Fortress Press, 2009). For almost twenty years, he was a brother of the Taizé Community (France) and has served congregations in Atlanta, GA, and Philadelphia, PA. Dirk studied under Gordon Lathrop, Don Saliers, and Mark Jordan.
Justin Rimbo serves as the mission developer for the Sobremesa Community, a non-traditional faith consortium in the Vista neighborhood of Columbia, South Carolina. In recent years, Justin has served as the music director for similar pilot communities like Humble Walk Lutheran Church, and Jacob’s Well, both in the Twin Cities area. Justin is also behind Beer & Hymns – South Carolina, a loose collaborative which encourages singing of songs of faith in very public spaces. A commissioned Associate in Ministry in the ELCA and a graduate of Southern Seminary, Justin lives in the Columbia area with his wife Angie, son Owen, daughter Zoe, and dog Luna.
Chad Winterfeldt is a lifelong organist and church musician
who serves as Cantor of Christ Chapel at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. In that role, he works with the Chaplains’ Office team to integrate faith and spirituality into the fullness of learning and life. He is an active leader in the American Guild ofOrganists and the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. Chad served previously as Director of Music at First Lutheran in St. Peter and as Associate Organist for Christ the King Lutheran
Church in Houston, TX. He holds degrees from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, Yale University, and The University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Chad is passionate about connecting historic liturgical patterns with the many diverse ways that music enlivens, invites, and deepens our participation in worship.
