Coming This June: Worship 101!


Once again, The Center for Music Studies will be offering one of our major core classes for certification, and one of our most important offerings: Worship 101.

This class is designed as a broad survey course that will help musicians and worship planners better understand the “big picture.” Students will gain a solid background both for their current work and for future inquiry with sessions that will include the following topics:smiling_cropped

  • Theology of Worship
  • Worship & Culture
  • Worship in Historical Context
  • Worship Planning

This three-day intensive will run Monday, June 20th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Tuesday, June 21st from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and Wednesday, June 22nd from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM. Class will be held at Luther Seminary.

This will be a rich opportunity to share and reflect on your own experience, and engage with others in an open and mutually supportive environment. A wonderful team of teachers, including Ann Svennungsen, Jay Beech, Donna Peña, Chad Winterfeldt, and Elizabeth Damico, will make this a very dynamic experience. Please join us!
